RESCUE 3 NORGE: RESCUE 3 COURSES

Rescue 3 International was established in 1979 in the US, and is recognized as the leader in water rescue training around the world. Represented in over 40 countries, they are an organization focused on providing practical, real world experience.

Rescue 3 Norge are the leading provider of whitewater rescue training in Scandinavia. We have been agents for Rescue 3 International since 1993 and we are also part of Rescue 3 Europe.

We offer 4 different safety and river rescue courses, SFR, WRT, SRT and SRTA. Open courses are held at Sjoa Kajakksenter, but more often we run closed courses for groups in other parts of the country.

A minimum of 6 students are required and the certification is valid for 3 years. Re-certification can be done with Rescue 3 International all over the world.

Our Rescue 3 instructor,
Jan Aa Gjeterud, is educated through Rescue 3 International in the US. He is an IT and head instructor in Scandinavia. Jan also works for the police in Norway as a search and rescue consultant.

Swiftwater rescue is a field influenced by constant development, there is no given answer.
